Sorry about my recent absence, I spent the last week frolicking in crisp, fall air and taking in the mountainous views in Asheville, NC. It goes without saying that I absolutely fell in love with Asheville…what a beautiful city. So why the visit to Asheville you may ask? To visit the Biltmore Estate! I had been dying to see this humongous private residence with lush gardens, hiking trails, and a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our visit well exceeded my expectations, which were very high to begin with.
The house itself is lovely. Of course you aren’t allowed to take pictures inside the residence, so I don’t have many of the house, but your memory will hold onto ever single detail.
This is a side view of the Biltmore from one of the courtyards. Stunning if you ask me. The weather was so incredibly perfect. Mid 50’s during the day with crystal clear blue skies and bright sunshine. Clearly, we spent more time outside in the gardens and on the trails this day just to soak in fall in North Carolina.
Bright orange, yellows and red filled the trees and the ground.
A cool photo from the terrace.
And a few photos from our hike ↓ (the best part of the whole trip 🙂 )
After taking in all this beauty we stumbled upon a more secluded area of the the trails. We found another waterfall that poured into a beautiful creek, the sun was just peaking through the tall trees. It was so cool and comfortable in the shade. We stopped for a moment to just soak it all in; all the peaceful, tranquility that surrounded us. I felt so greatful to God for this moment. For once in a very long time, my head was clear of any thoughts. And just when I thought that moment couldn’t be any sweeter…
My boyfriend of 8 years, Kyle, proposed to me. In the most perfect way possible. It was me, him & nature. No one around us, it was just me & him in that moment – it truly was unforgettable ♥
Kyle and I have been together for 8 years. We met as teenagers and pretty much since our first date we’ve been inseparable ever since. In the last 8 years we’ve grown together, struggled together, supported and encouraged one another. We grown closer to God and in our faith together. We constantly laugh and joke around, talk about our goals & ambitions and we sit on the same side of the table when we eat. He loves comic books, and I’m obsessed with Disney. He’s 6’2 and I’m 5’2. He’s loud and boisterous, I’m a little more reserved. We agree on the important things, and we balance each other out with the little details. We’re best friends, and I’m so excited for the next adventure with him ♥
