Peanut Butter Protein Bites are sweet, bite sized treats that are a major help whenever a craving hits.
Easy to assemble and you probably already have most, if not all, the ingredients in your kitchen already. Peanut butter, oats, honey, flax seed, protein powder & chocolate chips are what you need for this recipe. You can make substitutions too. Don’t have peanut butter, try it with almond butter. Instead of semi sweet chocolate chips (that’s what I used) you can mix it up with dark chocolate, bitter sweet, whatever you like. I used vanilla protein powder but I think chocolate could also be good here too.
I like to make these ahead of time before a busy week and keep them in the fridge. I like to take my meals to work so when I’m packing things up for work I just grab 3 or 4 of these to have in between meals. They’re best chilled so if you’re traveling with them make sure you have a way to keep them cold.
To assemble you just put everything in one bowl and mix together. I made little balls about 1 tablespoon to 1 ½ tablespoon in size and got about 20 balls from it, perfect to get you through the week.
