EGGNOG POKE CAKE

Eggnog Poke Cake is a creamy, buttery vanilla, eggnog-infused cake that you must try this holiday season, especially if you love eggnog!

– boxed yellow cake mix – ingredients required on cake mix – rum extract – nutmeg – eggnog – heavy whipping cream – sugar – vanilla extract

Ingredients

Step 1

Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Butter or grease a 9x13 inch baking dish, set aside.

In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, ingredients required by the back of the box, rum extract and nutmeg. Mix the ingredients together until cake batter comes together, is smooth and free of clumps.

Step 2

Pour cake batter into the baking dish and bake in the oven according to package instructions for a 9x13 inch baking dish, roughly 20 to 30 minutes*. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 3

Allow cake to cool for about 30 minutes. Do not remove cake from it's baking dish. Use a fork to poke little holes all over the cake. Pour eggnog over the entire cake.
